Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the saddest stories. Lolo Jones, winner of USA and World the hurdle championships, achieved this status after many years working hard and a lot of endurance. Jones grew up with a poor and difficult life being the daughter of an unwed mom who was also a mother to five kids. Her mother was constantly moving and even lived in the basement of her church. Jones lived a nomadic existence that forced her to change schools each year, until she reached high school. Jones was forced to move away from mother at Theodore Roosevelt School in order to pursue her interest in track. Jones was part of different families during high school to be focused on her academics. Jones was a member of the Orchestra of Iowa as well as the Gatorade Track and Field Award. She also won this prize in high her school. Jones began her athletic career at the college level as one of the best hurdlers. She won the 100-meter obstacle at the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. Jones was also a member of the second team to win the 100-meter Relay race. In 2003 and 2004, Jones took home the indoor hurdles event at the NCAA Championship. The track career after she completed her studies during 2005 Jones was able to begin training to pursue the track. That same year she won her first Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026 she took home the Ostrava Track event as well as Heusden.
Brandt moved from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand at the end of her teens. Brandt, discovered by local casting agents, took the lead character of Naevia on the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. She was among the most prominent actors in this series, working with Steven S. D Knight & Sam Raimi. Mazikeen is a DC Comics/Vertigo character that she portrayed in the hit Netflix program Lucifer. The series lasted 6 years. Forbes declared Lucifer the most binged-out show of 2021. Brandt will be next in a 6 episode Walking Dead limited spin-off starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Giurira that will premiere in 2024. She also stars alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni and Chris Meloni as Captain Fall in an adult animated film which will premiere on Netflix on July 20, 2023. Lesley Ann Brandt was born 2nd December in Cape Town in South Africa. She is a highly skilled New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt, along with her entire family moved into Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. After a few years of being employed in the retail industry and then being promoted to an IT consultant. After several modeling assignments, Lesley appeared in many commercials. Her graduation was with a degree in acting in the year 2008. Then in 2009, she started studying in Meisner Methods of Study. Lesley's very first prominent acting work was with the TV drama arrangement Diplomatic Immunity in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt was a guest supporting actress on New Zealand's TV drama Shortland Street. She then appeared in the sci-fi film This Is Not My Life that is based upon anecdotal Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teen hostage, and was later featured in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
