Tessa Thompson

The actor Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on the 3rd of October 1983, in Los Angeles, California. The actress is the daughter the singer and songwriter Marc Anthony Thompson and the niece of actor-musician Bobby Ramos. Her family was born within Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Her father is of African-Panamanian ancestry and her mother is from Mexican and British Isles ancestry. Thompson attended Santa Monica High School where she participated in many theatre productions. Following her graduation she attended Santa Monica College where she earned a degree on cultural anthropology. She performed as Juliet in William Shakespeare's drama "Romeo and Juliet" in a production performed at the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena, California.
