Cheryl Hines
Cheryl Ruth Hines was born on September 21, 1965, in Miami Beach, Florida, to Rosemary (Graham) and James Hines The couple she grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. She went to West Virginia University as well as Florida State University before graduating from University of Central Florida. She studied theater and television production, but it wasn't until she relocated in Los Angeles and studied at the Groundlings Theater that she felt she had really learned anything regarding comedy. Lisa Kudrow was her first teacher. She was taught how to perform improv and write comedy sketches. Her experience assisted her in preparing to play Larry David's wife in HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). Because dialogue is made up for situation comedy it's a homecoming for her. When she can do so, she continues to be part of the Groundlings Theater.
